What you want to do is for WMP 9+. Simply right-click on the Taskbar choose "Toolbars" and click on "Windows Media Player". The player will then appear on the Taskbar when you Minimize it.

Ok well thats cool, and I probably woulda ran into that before asking this question but as a WinXP Pro x64 user I am not seeing Windows Media Player as a toolbar option in that menu.. =/

Well I looked deeper into the situation and in the help files it explains how to get the mini-player. The same way you said, but I think it's not compatable with WinXP Pro x64... wtf? lol Ahwell... If anyone on this OS gets that function to work let me know.

Its a neat addition, which if it weren't for one thing I might consider using WMP. It isn't skinnable by WB, so it looks out of place in many skins.
